IV: Free Topic
In this free topic, I am going to write about a fomous comic, that I've been reading recently.
Mafalda, is an argentine comic strip written and drawn by "Quino", it start in 1964 to 1973. It is about a girl, who reflects the argentine middle class and progressive youth. It is considered a symbol in persuit of human and children's rights. It has a innocent but strong message, and it's constantly rebelling against the world bequeathed by adults.
It's very popular in all Latinamerica, but it's also recognized in countries like Spain, France, Greece and Italy. Has been translated into more than 30 leguages.
Personally, I considered Mafalda an important character of the sudamerican culture, it's a girl with a political opinion who uses the social satire as a commentary on real life issues. The cartoonist Joaquin Lavado, died on September 30th this year.
